Bidvest Supports QASA
QASA is very grateful to Bidvest Premier Lounge for the investment in the Quadpara Association of South Africa (QASA) skills development programme.
Bidvest Premier Lounge has a longstanding relationship with QASA, and this is the second year that they have invested in the QASA skills development programme to ensure the employment project has a meaningful impact. The funding from Bidvest Premier Lounge has been utilised to upskill QASA members, which led to mainstream employment, internships, and learnerships. Due to this programme, the lives of many people in QASA have changed for the better.
The continuous support from Bidvest Premier Lounge ensures that QASA members are being skilled and moulded for opportunities that should arise. This rings true for three QASA members who, through the skills imparted to them from QASA, recently secured mainstream employment in very lucrative sectors. Phillendren Chetty was recently employed by Netwize and is now a CCTV Operator. Chetty has mentioned that working has changed his life, and without the opportunities offered by QASA, he would be at home with no future plans. Mbali Mdletshe is another member who secured employment with Netwize. Mdletshe could not stop saying thank you to QASA for this opportunity, and says that she was getting so tired of going from interview to interview with no results, and now the dream of securing employment has been achieved. Degratia Moraila is another amazing member of QASA who recently secured employment with Pick n Pay through the QASA Internship programme. Same as Chetty, Moraila says this is a life changer for her and she will ensure that she makes full use of this opportunity.
The contribution made by Bidvest Premier Lounge is far greater than just upskilling QASA members. Through this initiative, QASA members gain the confidence and dignity they need to live their lives to their full potential. QASA looks forward to building and maintaining this relationship with Bidvest Premier Lounge.
