What is your favourite hol­i­day des­ti­na­tion? I love trav­el­ling in our African con­ti­nent. Ethiopia is my favourite. I love tran­quil moun­tain­ous farm set­tings. Ngome in KwaZulu-Natal is an­other lovely des­ti­na­tion.

What is the slo­gan that you live by? Be the change that you want to see in the world. Thamo Mzobe was ap­pointed CEO of the NDA in Novem­ber 2016.

Prior to this, she was sec­onded to the Of­fice of the Min­is­ter at the Depart­ment of So­cial Devel­op­ment, where she was Se­nior Man­ager: Co­op­er­a­tives Unit.

Mzobe has also held the po­si­tion of Se­nior Man­ager in the Of­fice of the CEO, re­spon­si­ble for stake­holder re­la­tions and part­ner­ships within the NDA. She has also been the provin­cial man­ager at the NDA's KwaZulu-Natal of­fice.

She is study­ing for a Mas­ter's in Ad­min­is­tra­tion through North-West Univer­sity. Mzobe holds a Post­grad­u­ate Cer­tifi­cate in Ex­ec­u­tive Lead­er­ship from the Na­tional School of Govern­ment, Post­grad­u­ate Di­ploma in Ed­u­ca­tion Man­age­ment, Bach­e­lor of Ed­u­ca­tion and Bach­e­lor of Arts from Unisa.
