DAY AT THE RACECOURSE

Saturday 25 November is a key moment on the horse racing calendar of South Africa: this is the day on which the Gauteng SANSUI Summer Cup at the grand and historic Turffontein Racecourse takes place.the Summer Cup is an historic racing event combining the finest in horse racing with a fun, family-oriented day out. On the day of the event, there will be a carnival complete with mechanical rides, face painters, and delicious food offerings. In between the races, adults can enjoy the roving fashion shows and local bands which will be performing on the day. Gates open at 11h00. General access tickets for adults cost R75 (R20 for children), and this will give you access to Turffontein Racecourse, as well as a voucher to the value of R25.
