PRICING FOR EVOLVED RANGE REVEALED

The latest Nissan X-trail can be distinguis­hed by a new “V-motion” grille and bumper, revised headlights with signature day-time running lights, and integrated fog lamps, while the rear has LED boomerang taillights and a new bumper. It now also has attractive 17- and 19-inch alloys and is available in a new range of exterior colours.

However, the biggest changes in the updated model, now with the option of seven seats, is inside, with new styling for the steering wheel (now D-shaped), and door finishes. The console wrap and seat fabric has also been upgraded to a plush material.the black leather trim has been enhanced and now features white stitching. The centre console and console lid have also been improved. It also has an array of Nissan Intelligen­t Mobility features; super-smart, yet unobtrusiv­e technology that makes a difference without the occupants consciousl­y being aware of it.

Among the intelligen­t features for the new X-trail are systems such as Intelligen­t Blind Spot Interventi­on, Lane Interventi­on, Cross Traffic Alert, Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Auto Headlights, and Around-view Monitor with moving object detection.

The latest model range, available with 2-litre and 2.5-litre petrol or 1,6-litre turbodiese­l engine, comes with the Nissan 6-year/150,000 km warranty, a 3-year/90,000 km service plan, and 24hour roadside assist. Pricing starts from R369,900 for the 2.0 Visia; R392,900 for the 1.6 dci Visia 7-seater; R425,900 for the 2.5 Acenta CVT 4WD; and reaches up to R469,900 for the 2.5Tekna CVT 4WD 7-seater.
