BENTAYGA RECEIVES PETROL V8 POWER

-

The ultra-luxurious Bentley Bentayga – available in diesel and W12 derivatives – is now also available in V8 guise, endowed with a powerful 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged petrol engine that develops 404 kw and 770 Nm of torque.

The addition of a characteristic V8 burble, stylish twin-quad exhaust pipes, and optional carbonceramic brakes, reveals more of the luxury SUVS sporting character and enables it to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 290 km/h.

This class-leading performance is complemented by a range of 746 km, with CO2 emissions of 260 g/km. This refined efficiency (11.4 l/100 km combined) comes, in part, through the ability of the engine to de-activate four of its eight cylinders in suitable conditions, as well as Stop-start technology.

The Bentayga boasts optional carbon-ceramic brakes – the largest and most powerful braking system ever fitted to a Bentley, with the largest front brake system available on any production car.

There is a choice of 11 wheel designs, including a new 22-inch five-spoke wheel with black painted and polished finish. The Bentayga V8 is also available with Bentley Dynamic Ride – the first electric active roll control technology in the world, that utilises a 48V-system. The Bentayga V8 should be available in South Africa shortly, at a price of around R3,5 million.
