HIGH TEA WITH A TASTE OF INDIA

-

HIGH Tea is usually reserved for special occasions in private rooms or sections in hotels dedicated to serving afternoon tea. However, unlike many other establishments, high tea at the Hilton’s Coral Lounge is in the foyer of the Durban hotel and you may catch a glimpse of the petit fours on offer.

The Coral Lounge has been a fixture at the hotel since it was renovated.

“The delicate nature of eating bite-sized sandwiches and tiny samples of sweet and savoury treats offers a different way of enjoying an afternoon of scrumptious culinary experiences,” says executive chef Janine Fourie.

“The High Tea table is a visual spectacle of cakes, pastries, quiches, savouries and baked scones all freshly prepared by our talented pastry team.”

It promises an afternoon of decadence that can be experienced with the age-old tradition of an afternoon High Tea.
