NY DREAM will do… Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is dancing back for the festive season at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre.

The upbeat musical closes in Cape Town this weekend and opens here on Thursday, November 10 with Nadine as the narrator.

Earl Gregory is back as Joseph, who is sold by his brothers into Egypt and becomes one of the most powerful men in the land.

The most powerful is, of course, Pharoah, played in Elvis-style by Jonathan Roxmouth.

This all-South African cast and crew has enormous fun with this delightful score and script, with lots of quirks, special effects, gorgeous girls and a band of hunky brothers. ● Take the next turn and you’ll end up at the Teatro for another sumptuous feel-good musical, complete with dog. Annie the Musical is rollicking good fun with a group of girls who steal the show. ● Still more fun and laughter at the Joburg Theatre, where the annual pantomime, Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood, opens officially tomorrow. Besides Robin Hood, the outlaw of Sherwood Forest, there’s his love interest Maid Marion; the nasty Sheriff of Nottingham, his sworn enemy; his zany band of Merry Men; Hansel and Gretel; the Babes in the Wood; and, for good measure, the Spirit of the Wood as well.
