WE ALL have recipes that good friends pass onto us, which are simple, quick and easy. This is certainly one of them.

I also enjoy recipes that don’t require ingredient­s you need to Google to find out what they are – never mind where to buy them.

Simplicity, quality ingredient­s and taste are all key factors to a wonderful eating experience.

The Eastern Cape is one of our top producers of lamb, followed closely by the Northern Cape. The Cape produces 60% of our lamb, so fellow South Africans celebrate all the good food and wine we produce in the country this weekend. Method Heat oven to 200ºC Pour 1 tbsp olive oil into a frying pan, medium to high heat, sear the steaks on both sides. Place the rest of the olive oil in a roasting pan, add sweet potatoes, onion and rosemary. Brush the mustard onto the meat and place in the roasting pan. Salt and pepper to taste, bake for 20 minutes until the potatoes are soft and the meat cooked. The one-pan wonder dish!
