Brunch experience fit to satisfy lunch and supper cravings

Next, I had the cajun tater tots, with cheese, chipotle, scrambled eggs and black bean salsa. It was seasoned to perfection, with a wonderful zing coming through from the sauce that was added on top of light and crisp potatoes.

My date had the shrimp and grits with corn salsa. This was a winner for both of us – a symphony of flavours on the palate with a wonderful cheesiness that came through with each bite.

For the third dish, I appeased my sweet tooth with the flapjack stack with toasted almonds and strawberries while my foodie companion opted for the curried tofu tacos.

My meal was a sugar rush of note, especially with generous squirts of honey on the plate, with the fresh cream offering no consolation on the calorie count.

The tacos were on the bland side, sadly. As were the rather unexciting cocktails that we had.
