A TOTAL of 40 countries want to join the Eurasian Economic Union or become observers, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev says.

“Forty more countries want to become observers in this union, or join (it),” he said at Kazan Federal University yesterday.

Nazarbayev said that last year the trade between the bloc’s members had increased by almost 30 times.

“Today the political co-operation between Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation is characteri­sed as the ideal one in all spheres: political, economic and human ones.” – Sputnik/ African News Agency (ANA)
