THE RUSSIAN parliament may adopt a bill on raising the retirement age in Russia in September, Russian upper house speaker Valentina Matviyenko said.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that the Russian government proposes to raise the retirement age to 65 years for men and to 63 years for women. The reform will be introduced in stages and is set to begin next year.

“The law can be finally adopted by parliament in September-october,” Matviyenko said. – Sputnik/african News Agency (ANA)
