Restaurant Makeover

The Bull Run on Maude Street in Sandton, Johannesburg, has been serving loyal customers for 16 years and has now undergone a makeover worth R12 million. Joburg-based interior designer, Tristan du Plessis, was contracted to come up with the new concept, which takes inspiration from upmarket international restaurants and the New York Stock Exchange – thereby adding international flair while remaining in keeping with the original style of the establishment. After so many years of service, the Bull Run has accrued many long-time regular customers, including dignitaries and celebrities such as musician Arno Carstens, Chef Pete Goffe-wood, Olympic swimmer Ryk Neethling and former Springbok Schalk Burger.
