age and will only be in a position to sign a contract abroad next year, in March, when he turns 18, which means that if the European interest is escalated, they will have to wait for a few more months before agreeing to a deal.

Letlhogonolo Mirwa is facing an uncertain future with Kaizer Chiefs, despite the fact that he only signed for the club ahead of the 2018/19 season.

According to Siya sources in the know, the player could be amongst those facing an exit from the club. With Chiefs and all the other PSL clubs expected to undergo squad evaluations in December, in preparation for the second half of the 2018/19 season, the crew has been informed that Mirwa is one of the players whose futures will be discussed.

The 23-year-old left back joined the Soweto giants with limited experience. At the time of his high-profile move, his most notable experience was in the ABC Motsepe League, where he played for North West outfit Buya Msuthu FC.

Following his arrival at Naturena, he has struggled for game-time under coach Giovanni Solinas. He hasn’t played in any official matches, after 10 rounds of Absa Premiership action, with the coach opting to use Godfrey Walusimbi as his first choice at left back.

In addition, 21-year-old Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya is seen as the 29- year- old Ugandan’s understudy, leaving Mirwa with very little chance of game-time. According to sources, Mirwa could be loaned out during the January transfer window, to gain some much-needed experience in the top tier.

“His chances of playing regularly this season are limited. There is talk of him going on loan in January. He’s likely to leave,” said the source.

Mirwa had a stint with Mamelodi Sundowns’ development team, where he played under coach David Notoane in 2016, before he left for Buya Msuthu in Mzansi’s third tier.
