Brockie’s Sundowns future to be discussed?
The latest news reaching the Siya crew is that Jeremy Brockie’s immediate future with Mamelodi Sundowns could be discussed in the coming months.
The likes of George Lebese and Aubrey Ngoma, who have joined the Chloorkop-based club in the past two seasons, have both been linked with loan moves away from Sundowns, as they grow frustrated with their lack of gametime.
It seems that Brockie could be another player whose immediate future could be up for discussion in the coming months, should the New Zealand international’s situation remain unchanged.
Brockie has made just four appearances in all domestic competitions for Sundowns this season, as he continues to find his feet after joining the Brazilians in January this year.
Siya sources have indicated that a potential loan move away from Masandawana could be on the cards, however, the player’s representative, Mike Makaab from Prosport International, has confirmed that no discussions about the 31-yearold’s future have been had as yet.
“If he doesn’t get game-time in the next month or so, I will be sitting down with Sundowns to discuss a way forward,” Makaab confirmed to the Siya crew.
Now, it remains to be seen whether or not Brockie’s situation regarding game-time with Sundowns will remain unchanged in the coming months, and what decision about his future will be made, should the two parties sit down in discussions.
The striker was heavily linked to both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in the past, and it remains to be seen if either or both of the Soweto giants jump at the opportunity when it presents itself.
