Wits don’t like that

“Obviously, it won’t be an easy game and I believe it is going to be war. We need to prepare ourselves and prepare our minds going into this encounter. We are going to do our best in terms of trying to get a win. We want to go to the next round and we will do our best to win. Looking at our form, we haven’t been doing very well, we haven’t been burying our chances and we are worried about that. The only thing we need to do is to try harder and work on the things we need to perfect. In a game like this, you win by scoring goals because it is a cup competition. We don’t want to get to a point whereby we are kicking penalties because that puts more pressure. I believe that we need to put more effort and do whatever it takes to win. As a team, we just need to keep working hard and make sure that we get what we deserve. Everything is out there for us to win and we just need to prepare well this week and we will get to where we want to be. Wits are a team that don’t really like to play beautiful football, but they are fighters and they are a team that are hungry for good results. We need to contain them and try to control the game. We need to dictate the game, dictate the pace and maybe that can frustrate them because they don’t like that. With the positive mindset that we have, I think we are going to be able to walk away with a smile on our faces and we have the home ground advantage, which we need to use on the day.”

We will do what we have to do Deon Hotto – Bidvest Wits winger

“We will take it as per usual – step-by-step in order to progress and keep momentum going for us. We have set our targets for this season and definitely would love to tick all the boxes when it comes to achieving our goals, one being (to win) this competition. Our camp is in good spirits as always, grinding and supporting one another. The brotherhood is there and we are a united family. Furthermore, we will have to stick to our game plan as every game has its own tactics and approach, but I strongly believe the match will flow because we play almost a similar type of football. It’s going to be a good one and we will do what we have to do on the day.”
