We should expect an uphill battle

-

Ghampani Lungu – SuperSport United striker

“It’s really exciting getting to play Kaizer Chiefs again in a cup competition this season. It’s the third time in the space of two months. Personally, I’m really excited and I’m working on a few things, and at least now I am playing in my natural position. It will be really exciting to play them if I do get the chance to play up front. The stakes are quite high because every club wants to advance to the next round of the Telkom Knockout, so we should expect an uphill battle against Chiefs. I would really love for us to get through this match and eventually advance to the final because I had a taste of being in a final not so long ago and I want to have that experience again. Imagine being in my second final in such a short space of time… it would really be an exciting experience for me. The preparations for the match? Well, it is going to be treated like any other game. Obviously, we will analyse Chiefs and take it step by step. I can’t say much about the approach because I will be giving our game plan away. We take every game step by step and that will be our focus. The team is in very good spirits and we are doing pretty well. Hopefully our game plan works for us on the day. We are playing away and we know that they want to do well in front of their supporters, so we have to give our all and make sure that we close them down. I think it is going to be a good one for us. I believe in our team.”
