Bucs to make Chabalala decision?

-

Orlando Pirates are expected to make a decision on the future of Justice Chabalala, who has found the going tough with regards to getting game-time in coach Milutin Sredojevic’s team.

Chabalala is yet to make an official appearance for Bucs this season. The defender has only received game-time with Bucs’ MultiChoice Diski Challenge team this season.

Last season, the centre- back made only nine appearances in all competitions for the side under Sredojevic. Having previously spent time with Chippa United, where he played regularly and performed well when he was on loan from Pirates, Chabalala has been linked with a potential return to the Port Elizabeth-based outfit as he seeks to revive his career.

“Justice Chabalala is frustrated with his lack of game-time at Pirates. The player would welcome an opportunity to go on loan again in order to get some game-time,” confirmed the source.

Chabalala, 26, has previously been linked with Bucs’ rivals, in Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns. However, with the player still contracted to Pirates, chances of him leaving for rival clubs seem to be slim at this stage. The Buccaneers signed Chabalala on a threeyear deal when he joined them from Free State Stars in 2016. In addition, the Soweto giants have an option to extend the player’s deal by a further two years, should they wish to exercise the option.
