made to depart before the transfer window closes.

An announcement on the future of Sirino at the Tshwane giants is expected to be made by the close of the transfer window.

On Monday, Orlando Pirates confirmed the exit of Ben Motshwari with a glowing tribute and indications are that the club has been busy in the past few weeks making final decisions on the squad for the 2023/24 season.

With the Randfontein-born star having been unveiled at AmaZulu FC on the same day, sources close to the Soweto giants have confirmed that one or two other players could still leave as part of the crucial final squad decisions. Some players who have struggled to get game-time are facing uncertain future, according to sources, with the club expected to decide on them before the transfer window slams shut on 22 September.

News reaching the Siya crew is that the Houghton-based outfit is considering making a decision on Evidence Makgopa, as well as on who to keep or send on loan between Souaibou Marou and Bienvenu Eva Nga.

The trio have struggled to get playing minutes on a consistent basis at Bucs, with the Cameroonian duo having made rare appearances in the preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League thus far, while Makgopa came on as a late substitute in the opening two league matches.

“There could be deadline deals for Pirates as some of the players in the current squad are linked with exits. Evidence Makgopa, Eva Nga and the other striker from Cameroon could still leave on loan,” said a source.

“These players have not been the preferred starters or regulars for the coach and there isn’t much that is likely to change for them in the coming matches. The club will listen to offers and one or two of them could leave on loan in order to get game-time,” the source added.
