Soccer Laduma

All of this is for the supporters

- Phiri Cawe - Vukani Community newspaper journalist

“Soccer Laduma is a massive publication. Without buying faces or trying to sugar-coat things, I’ve been an avid reader of this publication for as long as it has existed. It has long passed my expectations. For me, what you guys got right was your cover, the way it is designed. It is very attractive and catches the eye of everyone walking in the street. Another important thing is giving it to the street vendors to make it reachable to everyone and that’s a really a good thing because this publication is everywhere. That’s why this is the mostread publication in the country and you get it even in rural areas. That makes football lovers happy and go out there to get their paper.

They know what to expect and the cover price is very affordable. Anyone going to work will pick up a copy and read it and even read it again when they get home. This newspaper has done a lot for the readers, the players and coaches even if they want to admit or deny it, this publication is really helpful. Your Fan Park and Page 6, where we get to read supporters’ comments, mean a lot because supporters are important stakeholders of the Beautiful Game. If you leave them behind, then you must know you are on the wrong path. All of this is for the supporters, they love and support their team. I also enjoy the columns because they give us insight into what is happening in the modern game in comparison to the previous generations. Honestly, I like everything about Soccer Laduma because I’m a very opinionated person, so I enjoy reading other people’s opinions and learning. Some people think football supporters are just that and they don’t have thinking capacity, but if you give them a chance, you will learn a lot from them. As much as they learn from you guys, there is a lot for you to learn from them as well and I am happy that you provide them with a platform to air their views. Keep up the good work because you have a big role to play in our football. I know Siyagobhoza is a hit among the readers, especially during the transfer window period.”
