NHLAPO HAS OPTION ON CHIPPA CONTRACT

Former SuperSport United defender Siyabonga Nhlapo has penned a deal with Chippa United until the end of the season and the Siya crew has been given more informatio­n on the deal.

The defender had been without a club for a few months after his six-year stay at Matsatsant­sa was brought to an end in June, but after waiting it out a bit, he has finally secured a team where he can still play in the topflight.

This publicatio­n understand­s that there is an option to extend the deal at the end of the campaign, depending on how things go in terms of game-time and general performanc­e. by injury, sources close to the player have revealed.

The lanky midfield man has been a notable absentee from Sekhukhune United’s starting line-ups after making only 14 appearance­s in all competitio­ns last season. Prior to coming back for a rare appearance in the league in February, he had last played in October.
