Chiefs and Pirates are not firing on all cylinders but Mothibi tips both to win
This week’s Soccer Laduma guest predictor is former Orlando Pirates striker James Mothibi. Fri 8 Dec (19:30) - Stellenbosch FC v Cape Town City (DStv Premiership): Steve Barker’s men in Stellenbosch are on a good run, having won four of their last five league games. On the other side, their opponents have won six successive league matches and are sitting comfortably in second place on the log. Sat 9 Dec (15:30) - Polokwane City v Kaizer Chiefs (DStv Premiership):
The home side have not won since beating Richards Bay in October and AmaKhosi are blowing hot and cold under caretaker coach Cavin Johnson. They are yet to win two matches on the trot since the former Platinum Stars and SuperSport coach took over. That said, a team of Chiefs’ stature should win this on any given day. Log-leaders Arsenal will have a lot to worry about going into this fixture, although they have won four of the last five against Villa. Ollie Watkins is in red-hot form for the home side, having scored in all of their last three matches. James Mothibi: Arsenal win
Sat 9 Dec (20:00) - Orlando Pirates v TS Galaxy FC (DStv Premiership):
Jose Riveiro’s men really need to get going in the league and Pirates’ fans will not settle for anything less than three points here. Bucs, however, will need to look out for Galaxy’s in-form Lehlohonolo Mojela and Higor Vidal.

Sun 10 Dec (18:30) - Tottenham Hotspur v Newcastle United (English Premier League): Although failing to win any of their last four league fixtures, Spurs have been involved in some of the most exciting clashes in the EPL so far this season. Newcastle, meanwhile, are hot and will be highly motivated after beating Chelsea and Manchester United.
