PIRATES ISSUES
Congrats to Pirates for accumulating vital points away from home against Polokwane City. It was a very difficult game considering they are so difficult to beat them at home. I like the consistency that Riveiro shows on players who are performing well, particularly Makhaula and Mbatha. Kimvuidi tried his best, but unfortunately Lady Luck was not on his side. Appollis was giving us problems, as always, but he was contained. Mofokeng is gradually coming to the fore, e improves game by game and I hope he will close the space left by Lorch. I also wish to see Makgopa playing alongside either Mabasa or Lepasa, but the coach has his own plans and we have to respect that. Congrats and I wish complacency doesn’t affect us against Chiefs. Riveiro doesn’t deserve or qualify to coach Pirates. He doesn’t have a starting XI. This week, it’s Kapinga, next week it’s Dlamini. The coach is very poor in everything, that is why he was working in Finland. Next week, you are going to see Makaringe and others. My second point is that he has favourites. Maswanganyi is not better than Kapinga, Hotto no better than Lebitso, Makgopa not better than Mabaso or Lepasa. Mofokeng is not serious, he must take him out of the matchday squad. Makaringe, Dlamini, Mpontshane, Ofori and Maela must be given their clearances. Stephen Mpya, Mamphulo village
It’s never easy to accept when one of our best-performing players leaves the team for our crosstown rivals. It was sad to see Lorch go, but he has my blessings. Players must make the best investments while they can. There are no guarantees in football, it’s a short career with an unpredictable future. Boy, you really had to move away from your comfort zone at Pirates. You played your best football, but remember that loyalty doesn’t pay the bills. To be the best, you’ve got to compete with the best. All the best! McDivett “Big Mac” Khumbulani Tshehla, KwaMhlanga
