WHEN they started a fashion business together models and business partners Tinyiko Mathusa and Connie Koma agreed to a shareholding of 75% and 25% respectively.

Now that Mathusa is based in Turkey and Koma remained in South Africa, running the business, she is demanding another 25%.

“I have been holding fort while she has been madly in love in Turkey. When we started the VIP Queens Fashion in 2011, we agreed that we would share the responsibility of running it,” Koma fumes.

The business was based at Glendower Heights in Bedfordview, Johannesburg, but now the clothes, which were in the studio have been taken to a flat in Edenvale, eastern Joburg.

Mathusa married Fashion TV International owner Enis Onat in February. The couple live in Turkey.

Koma says since her marriage, Mathusa has reneged on her promise to help run the business.

“She only wants to get the money,” alleges Koma.

“She was here in South Africa during the Easter holidays and she promised that we will sort out the issue, but she went back without doing anything. So I’ve stopped operations,” Koma adds.

On the other hand, Mathusa says the business stopped operating more than two months ago when she was in the country.

“What I can say is that I’m a bit disappointed because Connie made me officially declare the business closed last month,” Mathusa says.

“We are still trying to settle the matter between the two of us,” adds Mathusa.

But Koma is not budging, saying she has had enough of Mathusa’s excuses and its either she gets the additional 25% or she will not run the business. –
