A MAN was allegedly kidnapped and raped over three days by three women travelling in a BMW.

Police are now searching for the women, who are believed to have kidnapped the man after giving him a lift in Germiston, Gauteng.

The 34-year-old man told police that when they arrived at a filling station behind Oakmoor train station in Tembisa, the women demanded that he pay for the ride.

Tembisa police spokesman Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha said the man did not have money to pay the women.

“One of the women then pointed a firearm at him while the others blindfolded him with a cloth before they drove off,” he said.

Ralidzhivha said when the blindfold was removed, the man found himself in a garage with his legs tied together.

“He said they took turns raping him for three days. He was released on the fourth day after they gave him a drink in the early hours of that morning. He said he felt dizzy after taking the drink.”

Ralidzhivha said the man was woken by a passer-by who found him sleeping under a bridge in Olifantsfontein.

Diepsloot police are also investigating a similar crime where a man was allegedly kidnapped and raped by three women in January.

The women reportedly approached the man at a tuck shop in extension 12 and asked for directions.

Diepsloot police spokesman Inspector Daniel Mavimbela said the women, driving a white Toyota Tazz, pretended to be lost and asked the victim for directions.

“Suddenly, one of the suspects pointed the man with a firearm. They forced him into the back seat,” he said.

Mavimbela said the women drove away with the man and parked the car on the side of the road on the R114.

“One of the women undressed. The victim was forced to have sexual intercourse with her at gunpoint. After the ordeal the victim was left on the side of the road.” A case of rape was opened. The incidents have raised fears that there could be a resurgence of similar crimes committed by three women in Gauteng several years ago.

The women, also driving a BMW, would allegedly pounce on male pedestrians, kidnap them, rape them and declare that they were welcoming them to the world of Aids.

Gauteng police spokeswoman Lieutenant-Colonel Katlego Mogale said they were concerned about the two recent incidents as there were similarities in the cases.

“The modus operandi is seen to be the same. In both cases the suspects are still on the run,” she said, appealing to people with information to contact the police.

Mogale said the two cases were being investigated by the family violence, child protection and sexual offences unit in the Tembisa and Honeydew cluster.

Mavimbela appealed to the public to “be cautious when approached by strangers – both men and women”.
