Why allow a ‘ con artist ’ to bleed the SABC?

I AM very disappointed and disgusted with what is happening at the SABC.

Over the past few years the SABC has been embroiled in scandal after scandal. If it ’ s not a qualified audit, it ’ s unfair dismissals and improper appointment of board members.

The situation in the public broadcaster has been made worse by giving Hlaudi Motsoeneng a permanent post as chief operating officer.

And no one seems to care about fixing the SABC. The minister of communications, Faith Muthambi, appears to be happy with Motsoeneng. Remember, we are dealing here with someone who lied about having a matric certificate, who is accused of abusing staff and someone who increased his salary three times in one year.

Thankfully, the ANC Youth League and the opposition parties seem to have seen through this and are questioning his behaviour.

Why didn ’ t the SABC fire this man? He seems to be proud of what he is doing and even has the nerve to play the race card when questioned about his salary increase.

I wonder how many tenders and political connections this man has that makes him so untouchable. We can ’ t allow a blatant con artist to continue “eating ” like this.
