Walk with Mokoena
WITH Rio gold medallist Caster Semenya and former Bafana captain Neil Tovey having already declared their support, Khotso Mokoena is counting down to the Entrepreneurial Sports Walk he’s hosting next month.
The 4km and 8km event will take place at the High Performance Centre grounds in Pretoria on October 16.
“I am humbled by the buyin from my fellow professional sports people and some of business people who have shown interest. Caster is in, so is Tovey, as the ambassador of the walk. I want to bring sports and business together in one field where we can also have an opportunity to grow the walk,” said Mokoena of the event driven by his Khotso Mokoena Foundation.
Instead of prize money, Mokoena said they’ll select one student and pay his or her university entry fees for next year, and one athlete to pay for their coaching fees for 12 months.
