On ANC succession

THE ANC must know that anything that smells Jacob Zuma will be outrightly rejected by the electorate. If you want to regain your support, Zuma must never be allowed to anoint his successor. The deputy president must succeed the president. Hiding behind your branches, which you are able to manipulate at any time to act as your voting cows will not assist you and the real voters will punish you.

Imagine if your voting cows give us Bathabile Dlamini as president or Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma. That will effectively mean that Zuma is still in power and the corruption will continue. – Anonymous THE Cyril Ramaphosa slate is something that the 2019 voters can look at, especially the top six. The slate is a breakaway with the disastrous and corrupt Zuma rule. The team will usher in a new sense of hope and the much-needed service delivery. My advice to Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma is, please withdraw from the race to save the ANC because you are viewed as a candidate that has been anointed by a corrupt leader who wants to continue looting state resources through you or who wants somebody to protect him from going to jail. –T Jones

On sliding Eastern Cape

IT’S unbelievable that Eastern Cape is the worst performing province in matric results. When we were growing up we envied guys from that province because it was seen as the mecca of education because of Fort Hare and other institutions. – Sidwell Nofemele

On the land question

IT IS high time ANC forge minimum working relationship with the PAC to resolve the land question in South Africa. The ANC alone is incapable, as it is ensconced in its anachronistic pipedream, Kliptown Charter. – Mohato wa Mohato
