On ANC succession

PRESIDENT Jacob Zuma is now showing his true colours to Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa and the nation by supporting his ex-wife to the presidency. Kiss my vote goodbye. – Mandoza, Tembisa MOST South Africans are not really concerned about who succeeds the president, but are only concerned about the successor who will bring unity, stop corruption and bring order during parliamentary debates. We are tired of parliamentarians who debate as if they are in shebeens or gesticulating at some gathering. Mr B – SOUTH Africa is like Zimbabwe and the DR Congo where wives of leaders succeed their husbands. I am surprised to hear President Jacob Zuma claim there is no policy that states a deputy president of the ANC must succeed him as the president. Nelson Mandela was succeeded by Thabo Mbeki and Mbeki was succeed by Zuma. The ANC leadership is misleading us. Please, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, don’t contest with Ramaphosa for the sake of unity. We don’t want to see the ANC die. We love you and respect you. Your turn will come. – Mpala AS PER Sowetan, dated January 13, it is heartbreaking to see how Jacob Zuma is destroying the ANC. He should allow his deputy to succeed him and later strategise to have policy in place for succession. – Ngwato, Bronkhorstspruit.

On Lumka Oliphant

MAY I express my gratitude to Lumka Oliphant for using vulgar language in defence of Minister of Social Development Bathabile Dlamini, the main backer of Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.

My gratitude also goes to Dr Ben Ngubane, who was under the influence of arrogance when he appeared before the SABC inquiry.

The two highlight the calibre of people deployed by friends of the Saxonwold Shebeen. – Siyanda Wakwa-Mhlongo
