HERE’S SOME INFO TO HELP YOU WIN!

-

*Most neutrals would suggest that sitting in the stands gives coaches a much better view of the game and more ability to read tactics, as well as a better understanding of the positional play of their side and the opposition. But Arsene Wenger, banished to the stands by a four-match ban, said ahead of today’s clash against Watford: “It’s difficult to be far away, but the most important thing is Arsenal to win.”

*Jose Mourinho is looking for one more player before today’s transfer deadline. But his attempts to sign central defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica and Tiemoue Bagayoko from Monaco have been rebuffed. They could go to Od Trafford at a cheaper price in six months’ time.

*Nottingham Forest will be talking to Nigel Clough about taking over as their manager, allowing him to follow in the footsteps of his father as he did at Derby County. The 50-year-old former England striker is in his second spell at Burton Albion, who are willing to let him go even as they battle against relegation.

*Sadio Mane went out of three cups in the last week although he was only involved in one. Away on African Nations Cup duty with Senegal, he was thousands of miles from Anfield where Liverpool lost to Southampton in the League Cup and then to Wolves in the FA Cup. The same day Mane missed the vital kick as Senegal were beaten on penalties in the quarter-finals in Gabon.

* Antonio Conte has reportedly asked Chelsea to approach Sassuolo talent Domenico Berardi, although Juventus have a 25-million Euro option. Still only 22, the wide striker has a remarkable record of 40 goals and 25 assists in just 90 Serie A games. He spent four months on the sidelines with injury, but is back now. There is a long queue of other clubs also interested, including Inter, Roma and AC Milan.
