IS IT TRUE THAT MANY WOMEN HAVE EXTRAMARITAL AFFAIRS?

-

I ONCE heard that many married women have a side dude to keep them happy. I can’t stop looking at my wife and secretly wondering if she has this man. Is this normal?

MOM replies: What you hear in the streets and the actual truth may not match. You obviously have insecurities in your marriage. Forget what people say. Take your wife out on a romantic dinner date. On the date, ask her if she’s happy in the marriage. Set out to keep her happy and seduced.

Boitumelo replies: Be careful not to throw away the trust you’ve built with your wife by listening to outside voices that put doubt in your head.

Such thoughts can easily overtake your rational mind, making you do silly things like stalking her or searching her phone. Your focus is wrong.

Rather than worrying about what other men could be doing with your wife, why don’t you focus on being that guy who sweeps her off her feet and make her fall in love with you over and over again. I AM getting married soon and I have decided to buy a house. I have two kids outside this upcoming marriage, and I’m buying this house for them. They will live with us but somehow I want them to own this house. Am I wrong to do this?

MOM replies: The motherly instinct is what drove you to that decision. Buying property has never been a bad idea.

You are just looking out for your children and that is good. While at it, do get an antenuptial contract to protect your asset should the marriage collapse.

Boitumelo replies: I applaud women who take such bold and powerful decisions in their lives. You are investing and creating a legacy for your children who rely on you as their parent.

Sometimes dragging other people into your dreams can derail them and delay you. It might not be a priority for them.

As long as there is openness and understanding between yourself and your husband-to-be, this won’t create separation and tension in this new, upcoming family.
