MADI HAD A SHOCKING WAKE-UP CALL

-

MADI is starting off this week heartbroken by the passing of friend and media colleague, blogger Mpho Ranko.

Madi is using the “friend” term very loosely because she was also one of the people who were too preoccupied with their own lives to bother to visit him in hospital when he was battling cancer.

Madi hopes he has finally found peace.

Ranko was an effervescent PR person, who invited Madi to some of the most fabulous parties she has ever been to.

He will definitely be missed, especially his sharptongued commentary on some of the hideous outfits he saw on the red carpet that he would whisper to Madi at events. Why do you think Madi loved him?

After Ranko’ s tragic passing, Cameron Modisane, a LGBT activist, brought an issue to Madi’s attention with his article on The Huffington Post website recently about how fickle the industry is.

Ranko resorted to asking for donations on social media for his chemotherapy, and most celebrity friends turned a blind eye. It was only after Modisane made an effort to create awareness around Ranko, that some made some donations towards Ranko’s treatment. Unfortunately, it all proved too little too late, and he passed away last week. This was a huge wake-up call for Madi.

This industry is really full of smoke and mirrors. Let’s move along. Madi is not really a jogger, so you can imagine how much she sighed when she received an invite to Old Mutual’s The Music Run, where music blasted for enthusiastic joggers.

The event was a great success, and Madi wants to say kudos to the organisers for

DJ Euphonik

pulling it off. DJ Euphonik was on the decks and Madi must say, after The Cover interview, she is really irked by him – especially when he said that he could get Girl B back anytime he wanted. Gosh, that is arrogance right there. Madi somehow doubts that Bonang would go there again. But, hey, there is no denying the man’s talent. Euphonik is good at what he does. Madi just wishes he would not open his mouth. The Muffinz were also there, and Madi must say that she used to be a fan until The Soil came along. They are still a very talented band, Madi just wishes they would pull up their socks.

Plus, Madi once had a runin with Sfiso, the lead singer, and let’s just say it wasn’t pretty.

See, don’t be mean to Madi, guys. Look at what happens to your career as a result ...
