On Esidimeni

THE Life Esidimeni tragedy is a crisis of unprecedented levels. Extraordinary measures must be taken to deal with challenges posed by this matter. The most urgent concern is the chronic shortage of health professionals in all health facilities. The only answer is for government to repatriate those working overseas. – C Dube

On banks

I SUSPECT those 17 banks which fixed their prices took advantage of our illiterate president. Next elections we must vote for an educated leader to save our economy. – Oriah Choshane

On Meroro

VIKAPITA Meroro surrendered in round five of his fight with Kevin Lerena last week. Does it mean that when a boxer feels the heat, then he must die inside the boxing ring? No, the decision is his. When boxers sign contracts, there is nothing that binds a fighter to die inside the ring when he feels like surrendering. If the boxer is told to give the promoter back his money for surrendering, is the latter going to pay back the fans their entrance money that they paid too? If Meroro is not given his purse, then the boxing fraternity that attended must also be refunded. – Ben “TNT” Lekalake

On Jacob Zuma

THE State of the Nation Address to “maintain law and order” is what Jacob Zuma addressed the nation about in Cape Town. But can anybody tell me a positive thing that Msholozi has done for SA since he became president, in 2009. I beg to disagree with anybody who can tell me that there is a positive thing that Zuma has done for SA since he took over. Instead he has been followed by scandal after scandal. But he is resisting to resign as a corrupt president of the ANC. The ANC leadership do not want to diplomatically make him step down. – Mpinda Skhosana
