JZ shatters the dreams of a nation

-

One of the key responsibilities of the government is to create an enabling environment for our economy to thrive.

It does that by maintaining political stability, passing laws that will attract potential investors, economic and political policies that are sound and, most importantly, sound management that is accountable to its people, and decisions that will lead to economic growth and corruption-free leadership.

The events of the past odd days have plunged our economy further into the deep, resulting in SA being downgraded to a junk status by a rating agency. This all happens when our unemployment rate is high and about 17 million people depending on social grants for survival. Millions of workers are highly indebted to creditors, while there is a backlog in service delivery and upgrading of old infrastructure.

Tertiary education is still highly priced.

The decision of our president has shattered the dreams of people in so many ways. It has plunged our once promising country into a quagmire with no hope for tomorrow. As a developing country, our economy relies on international investors and thanks to our president’s decision we have scared them away. How are we going to service fiscal deficit now that we are a country of junkies? Cracks in the ANC go against political stability thanks to the dominant faction urinating on the trust our people had in the ANC.

We are the rainbow nation that never materialised. Thanks to the president and blind loyalty of his supporters for shattering the hopes and aspirations of all of us because of their narrow interest at the expense of the country and its people. You can’t destroy what you have in the name of fighting white monopoly capital while creating Indian curry capital at the expense of the majority of blacks who are poor.
