Television presenter Lootlove is taking 2017 by the horns. The lanky star, who has just been revealed as an ambassador of Footwork shoe range and secured a spot on Metro FM as a show host, has joined the MTV family with a new show.

Lootlove, whose real name is Luthando Shosha, tells Time Out that her new role as an anchor on The Come Up is a perfect fit for her character.

“People can expect more of Lootlove. The show is more of me, I am more comfortable and that will come across as I interact with different guests each week.

“It’s the only platform that allows you to be you and it’s something I wanted to align my brand with,” she says.

Shosha, 28, who got her big break when she won a presenter search on SABC’s Live Amp in 2012 will look to invade the small screen with her new show which premiered on MTVBase on Wednesday.

Shosha’s show features different guests, ranging from musicians, artists and presenters to talk about their journey in the industry and the moments that made them.

“The show is different from Live Amp because this one is about guests and not the anchor. I’m so excited to be a part of it because once again I am doing what I love.

“Live Amp trained me for the rest of my life. I am very grateful for the opportunity I got there and I believe anyone who gets an opportunity to start their career there has been pre- pared for absolutely anything.”

Shosha says the show will expand her career. “I got a call from MTV to come in and discuss the show. I liked the idea and the money was also good,” she laughs.

She started filming a month ago.
