South African society heavily divided and ANC is only making it worse
South African people are so divided that there is no way in which they will ever be united. Even the ANC itself, which we believe was there to unite the diverse South Africa, is failing.
In South Africa today, there are people who are poor and have no means of survival, while there are those who enjoy the fruits of democracy. Many of those who protect President Jacob Zuma are those who benefit from corruption.
The division among South Africans is not based on racial lines, but those dear to the ANC and those who support a corrupt and lawless president are one group and the rest another group, which is the majority of the population.
It is the ANC that promotes racism, ethnicity, favouritism and nepotism . They disregard the Bill of Rights, which provides that everyone has a right to belong to the party of their choice. They always speak ill about the whites and their parties.
Non-racial South Africa failed because the ANC has already divided the nation through its BEE and affirmative action policies. The beneficiaries of these programmes are millionaires while the rest are impoverished thereby.
A turnaround strategy is needed to bring South Africans together, black and white. But the pomposity and arrogance of the ANC must be checked before we can be one nation.
