Just about every acting role South Africa’s eminent playwright-cum-actor Sello Maake kaNcube has played has been memorable – whether on screen or stage.
His acting prowess has seen him cast for many powerful roles in soapies, stage-plays and films.
What is your favourite way of relaxing between your hectic acting schedule?
I relax by either listening to music or watching movies and television.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by life, human condition and behaviour.
What is your favourite drink?
I have been introduced to Moringa tea and I find it very refreshing
What is the best memory linked to your favourite tipple?
Memories linked or associated with my favourite tipple are best not remembered, and I plead alcohol-induced amnesia.
What do you owe your success to?
I don’t know what you mean by success but having survived the crudity and the brutality of apartheid, that is success, and love for life and my work is what I owe it to.
What is your personal motto or mantra?
Anybody’s opinion of me is not my reality.
What is your favourite meal? What do you normally enjoy it with?
I love pan-seared salmon.
