Queen of house says upcoming ‘Rebirth’ will be her last album

Bucie’s upcoming fifth album titled Rebirth will be her last.
The queen of house drops this bombshell after she struts into the Sowetan newsroom rocking a pair of tan bootie heels for our têteà-tête.
“My husband bought them for me; he has great taste,” she gushes.
After 10 years in the music industry, Bucie, whose real name is Busisiwe Nqwiliso, plans to shift her focus more onto her family.
She is quick to clarify that she is not leaving the music industry but says her attention will be on producing other artists under her record label while she will still record collaborations with other artists.
“I’m established, now my focus is to empower other female artists. I have artists under my label and my focus will be to make them stars.
“This is my final album, I’m out. I also just want to take some time off and spend it with my family. I’m a newlywed and a mom again. I have my sons, I need to spend time with them.”
The musician does not want the hectic schedule of performing to steal any joy from her new-found love and young family.
Bucie is taking her time to record Rebirth. The first single Rejoice, featuring Black Motion, was released last April. This week she dropped her second single featuring Mobi Dixon called Love Me Right.
“I know it’s taking so much time and people are complaining, but you cannot rush perfection,” Bucie says.
“I’m at that point where I can do one song a year and you are titled ‘queen of house’. You have a song that lives on for so long that you don’t feel pressure to release another song because someone else is going to snatch your crown. When you work hard you do get to that point. Because of that you get some time to work on quality music,” she adds.
Bucie has found her Nirvana at home – being the only female in a house full of boys. She is raising a family with husband Nhlanhla – whose surname she refuses to share – and their three sons. The singer welcomed her newborn son in January after going through a stressful premature labour.
“I’m a mother of three because my husband’s son is my son too. It’s a beautiful challenge. When I was a mom with my first born, because I was a teenager, it was so different because my parents raised him,” she explains.
“I went into early labour and it was the most stressful thing ever. Through prayer and God, he is fine and growing. He grows so fast. I call him my miracle baby.
