Night more ridiculous than the show
It takes a lot to get Maditaba laughing, and when it comes to comedy, most of them fail to even get her lips twitching.
So you can imagine how much Madi rolled her eyes when she was invited to the launch of season two of Ridiculousness Africa last week.
Madi caught a glimpse of it once, when her cat accidentally stepped on the remote. It basically consists of a bunch of adults sitting around watching the most unfunny internet videos of people making complete idiots of themselves and proceeding to make some dry commentary about them.
Anyway, Madi put on her Chinchilla and made her way to Taboo nightclub in Sandton to see what all the fuss was about.
The setup itself was not bad. The organisers really put in some effort.
The most refreshing thing that Madi learned was that Boity Thulo, who had been a co-host of Ridiculousness Africa, season one, had been kicked to the curb and replaced by the crazy Denise Zimba.
Madi loves Denise, especially her killer body that she loves showing off, which is why she probably showed up in nothing but a shirt dress at the launch. While she looked cute, Madi felt like she could have amped it up a bit. But at least she looked like she bathed before coming to the event, which is more than can be said about Thomas Gumede.
He looked like he was under a car with a spanner somewhere when he got the call to come to the event.
Madi spotted DJ Dimplez at some point; he is so adorable he should consider doing kids’ parties. Luckily for him he wouldn’t need a costume to emulate Barney.
A breath of fresh air came in the form of the hotness that is Jesse Suntele, who Madi caught a glimpse of while leaving the dreary event. Cute boy. Just wish he could offer more than his looks.
