SEAN TARRY IS THE YARD TO BE WITH

His yard remains in good form and has decent chances

- RACING EDITOR

Champion Trainer Sean Tarry is having another record breaking season and he can add more to that with a couple of winners at Turffontein tomorrow.

He could have at least winners, what with Battle Front looking hard to oppose in Race 1, Zerodarkthirty having a big chance in Race 2 and Matthew Lips could win Race 5.

There was a lot to like with the debut Of Battle Front as the Judpot colt was narrowly beaten when runner-up behind Full Mast at Turffontein a couple of weeks ago. The way Battle Front finished off his race in that 1400m event suggested the step up to 1600m will suit the Judpot colt.

Zerodarkthirty has built up a string of four runner-up berths in his record to date and deserves a win.

This Black Minnaloushe colt did a lot of work with blinkers up for the first time in his latest start and if a bit calmer this time could prove a step ahead of his rivals.

Mathew Lips is yet another of the Tarry runners who has been stuck in the second box in his last three starts and is running in a modest field.

Only the Alec Lairdtrained Skinimac has any form of note and these two runners look very likely to fight out the finish.

On Sunday Scottsville hosts their New Turf Carriers Rider Cup and most of these races are very competitive. The three racing provinces each have a team and any one of them can pick up the trophy.

Bankers are what we are looking for at this meeting and Beaufort in Race 2 is a natural BiPot banker and it may pay to Bank Strong ‘N Brave in Race 4 for Pick 6 and Place Accumulator bets.

Beaufort has run two decent races and will be hard to beat.

Strong ‘N Brave has been a bit disappointing after a very promising debut but is having his first run on the turf and that could make all the difference.

?? ?? Champion trainer Sean Tarry is set to underline his great form and bring home three winners at Turffontein tomorrow.
