Celebrity couple Thishiwe Ziqubu and Mandisa Nduna , who have been posting sensual and steamy pictures on social media, are unapologetic about their love.

The duo, who are both in the television and film industry, don’t think they owe anyone an explanation about their relationship or the pictures.

Nduna said the pictures they post on social networks are not posted for any reasons other than to express love. The pictures tell an obvious story of two people madly in love.

In a society where women and LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex) community members are constantly killed, the couple are aware that they need to protect themselves.

“We are aware that we live in a country where you can be killed any time for being a woman. We exercise caution, but we tried not to focus on the negative,” said Nduna.

The series of sensual pictures started early this year, sending followers into a frenzy.

Nduna, who also acted in the film Between Friends, in said the steamy pictures have received a positive response from the public and friends.

She admits while others appreciate the work of art in their pictures, there were those who threw some shade on them. “… in our industry, people are happy that we are happy together. They have been supportive.”

Though Nduna did not say much about how old their relationship is, she pointed out that she had grown as an individual since they hooked up.

Attempts to speak to Ziqubu failed but in an article by Hype Avenue, she is quoted as saying: “I learnt many things about myself, including that I actually loved women. Finding yourself is a process – I didn’t just wake up one morning and say, ‘I love women’.”
