M1 FC Lugano v FC St Gallen:
This match was originally played on 29 July but suspended at half-time due to a waterlogged pitch with Lugano leading by a goal from Dragan Mihajlovic. Both clubs have four points from their opening three matches of the new season in Switzerland.
M2 Norwich City v Queens Park Rangers:
Norwich were at home on Sunday to Sunderland and lost 3-1. QPR have picked up four points from their first two games of the new Championship campaign. At Carrow Road in May, Norwich thrashed QPR 4-0 in their last meeting.
M3 Sheffield Wednesday v Sunderland:
Sheff Wed were close to promotion to the Premier League for the last two seasons but have started the new campaign with just a single point out of a possible six. Sunderland were relegated from the top flight but are looking to go straight back up and a 3-1 win at Norwich on Sunday testified to their pedigree.
M4 Montreal Impact v Chicago Fire:
Two successive wins for Montreal have taken them to the brink of a play-off place in the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer. Chicago are third in the Western Conference but have won only once in their previous five fixtures.
M5 Real Madrid v Barcelona:
The Spanish Super Cup looks headed to Real after they won a drama-filled first leg 3-1 away on Sunday. But Cristiano Ronaldo is suspended for the return.
M6 Botafogo v Flamengo:
This is the first leg of the Copa Brasil quarter-final between the two Rio de Janeiro-based clubs. They have met three times already this season with the last game a goalless draw but Flamengo winning 2-1 in both of the other meetings.
