BiPot and PA the way to go at Fairview

Pepper Oak, Admiral’s Sword look good

- By Racing Editor

The in-form Craig Zackey appears to be the man to follow at Fairview today. If he isn’t winning races, he is running in the first three placings. This makes for a jockey worth following especially when it comes to the BiPot and Place Accumulator.

Zackey is aboard Pepper Oak in Race 7, a FM 76 Handicap over 1000m on the Polytrack. This Alan Greeff-trained filly has justified favouritism over her last two outings and will be in pursuit a third straight victory. Pepper Oak is unbeaten on the Poly, is well drawn in stall gate 3 and will shoulder just 55.5kg. Her running off a merit rating of 80 could upstage some useful foes, particularly in the form of Kirinia who returned to winning ways in emphatic style last time out. Pepper Oak is however, all you need in your PA.

Zackey Rides Run For Your Life in a Maiden Plate 1200m in Race 1. This Corne Spies-trained threeyear-old is better than his last start when finishing seventh behind Fritz Noble. He was reported as not striding out so expect improvement. Run For Your Life is the class horse of the race and although has proven rather expensive to follow, today is his best chance at earning career victory No 1. He is holding form nicely, enjoys the Poly, jumps from a decent No 2 draw and is the best handicapped runner in the race. If you are looking to go light on your BiPot take Run For Your Life along with Gavin Smith-trained Paper Town who left an impression on debut when running ahead of Run For Life.

Admiral’s Sword could prove the best bet on the card when lining up in Race 2, a Maiden Plate over 1900m. This threeyear-old colt has finished second in two consecutive starts. Under the current conditions third time could be lucky. He showed a liking for the Poly in his

last outing when beaten 0.05 lengths by Golden Shamrock in a 1300m contest. Admiral’s Sword is the best handicapped runner in the race and the step up in trip should suit him along with the decent No 4 draw and the modest 56kg on his back. He makes for a great BiPot and PA banker.
