The stars of The Bold and The Beautiful (B&B) are heading to South Africa as part of the soapie’s 30-year anniversary celebrations.

The handsome Jacob Young (Rick Forrester), Heather Tom (Katie Logan) and Karla Mosley (Maya Avant Forrester) will visit from October 21 to 26. The tour will include Johannesburg and Cape Town.

To kick off the celebrations, SABC3 has reintroduced the Saturday broadcast of The Bold and The Beautiful omnibus, starting from tomorrow between 9.30am and noon.

The show has been one of the most watched shows on the broadcaster’s schedule and remains popular despite changes in viewing patterns. Aisha Mohamed, head of bouquet at SABC3, said the public broadcaster was honoured to host an elite cast of one of the longest-running soapies in the world.

“We welcome the B&B cast and crew to South Africa and we look forward to the interaction with our viewers. We are happy to bring our content closer to our viewers.”

The show’s executive producer and head writer, Bradley Bell, said in a statement: “I’m so thankful that after 30 years our South African viewers and SABC3 remain an integral part of our extended television family.”
