She’s A Dream a good bet
Ryker could make punters much richer today
She’s A Dream won her maiden run on the second time of asking and can outsmart some useful foes when she teams up with the in-form apprentice jockey Ashton Aries in Race 5, a FM 70 Handicap over 1200m on the Greyville Turf track today.
She justified favouritism in her last outing by cruising to a comfortable victory, defeating Missy J by 1.50-length on the Polytrack. That form line has worked out well considering the sixth placed On The Bounce followed up with a victory and the eighth placed Arran Isles finish a promising third in her next outing. Even though that outing was on the Poly, she did well on debut when beaten 3.85-lengths into third place by a talented sort, Salimah on the Scottsville turf. In her defence, she was subject to greenness on that occasion and had to overcome the widest draw of all.
She’s A Dream jumps from a decent No 8 draw in this 15-horse field, plus her chances are further increased by the fact she is well in at the weights. A daughter of Kahal, she shoulders 1.5kg less than her main danger Ally Whoopee at 56.5kg.
Ally Whoopee is the model of consistency and although well drawn in stall gate 3, this Kumaran Naidoo-trained threeyear-old daughter of Captain Al is held on form by She’s Dream.
She ran 3.50-lengths behind the latter a run back at level weights and should find it hard to reverse the form with Dixon’s charge.
The pair make for the best Swinger and Exacta bet.
The Garth Puller-trained Ryker was in desperate need of the run last time when beaten 0.75-lengths into second by Zen Arcade.
The colt runs in Race 6 and is the best bet on the card; a banker in all bets. With Anthony Delpech in the irons, 58kg on his back and a No 3 draw Ryker should be unstoppable.
