Seems new Chibuku fad has support from celeb

- Maditaba

Bathong, Maditaba rarely gets an invite to an event and flatout laughs out loud. But that is exactly what happened last week when she got a call to attend the Chibuku launch at Sakhumzi Restaurant in Orlando West, Soweto.

Yes, Chibuku, the sorghum beer that is the height of sophistication in areas where brewing your own beer with stale bread is still in fashion.

Well, apparently Chibuku aims to attract a younger audience and has introduced new flavours such as banana and pineapple.

Forget asking for a gin and tonic when on a date. Now you can proudly ask for your Chibuku Pineapple with a straw to slurp on flirtatiously.

Brenda Ngxoli must be chuffed.

Waitse, there are times Madi has gone to gym after a hectic day at work and felt the guilt pangs. Well, one look at Akhumzi Jezile and she has a permanent mental picture to motivate her to be the first at gym, heck, even to put in an all-nighter.

No, love, Halloween has long passed. Let’s ditch the L’vovo look now.

Oh, the highlight of the evening for Madi has to be Idols winner Karabo Mogane, bathong. Not only his mesmerising voice, but his outfit too. He didn’t stick to the traditional theme as if he was delivering a makoti on OPW (Our Perfect Wedding) like the other guests, but rather looked suave and sexy in a tailored jacket, with a killer smile to boot.

Madi loves this boy. Waitse, Madi was not at all surprised that Candy tsa Matebele graced us with her presence. No one was more befitting to perform.

Aus Candy looks like she has been a big supporter of the Chibuku brand for decades and a big consumer. She looked like she loves her Chibuku with ice blocks for a touch of elegance.
