TITLE Feast with Sababa AUTHOR Tal Smith PUBLISHER Jacana REVIEWER Moipone Malefane

Everyone loves nice, rich food.

We all want food that will make us worry less about gaining a few kilos. I really enjoyed the nice recipes from Feast with Sababa.

This book has several stew dishes – from meat to bean soups.

The ingredients are also affordable, given the economic climate.

What I enjoyed cooking most were the mixed bean soup with angel hair pasta, brown lentil soup, lamb and leek stew as well as the chicken, pea and potato stew.

I will not give details of all the ingredients of the dishes, but they can all be quickly prepared.

The chicken, pea and potato stew was one of my best dishes.

You only need vegetable oil, onions, salt, fresh ground pepper, garlic, turmeric, paprika, frozen peas, chicken pieces, water and peeled potatoes.

Anyone who claims to be a cook will know how to mix and produce the best stew.

The author, Tal Smith, writes that she likes using chicken thighs and drumsticks because the meat is tender and simply falls off the bone when cooked.

She says if you use chicken breasts fillets, just slice them into strips and add along with the potatoes to avoid them drying out.

Do try these recipes, and your family will love you forever.
