William should show he is brave enough to finally win

Bernard Fayd’Herbe rides the PA banker

- By Racing Editor

William The Brave found one too good in his last start when failing by four lengths against Zanzibarian in a 2000m contest.

He is a proven stayer and can leave the maiden ranks at the ninth time of asking when lining up in Race 2, a Maiden Plate over 2400m on the Kenilworth Winter course today.

William The Brave is stepping down in class and could prove better than his current merit rating of 62.

This Joey Ramsden-trained Silvano gelding’s only attempt at 2400m was a noteworthy second behind Paddington, beaten 1.50 lengths.

He has only run out of the money once in his career and an unplaced finish is unlikely to happen this time either.

William The Brave is a BiPot and Place Accumulator banker. Bernard Fayd’Herbe takes the ride and could score for a second time aboard Dynasty’s Blossom in Race 4, a FM Maiden Plate over 1600m.

She was in desperate need of a run in her last start when failing to justify favouritism and was beaten 1.25-lengths into second by Royal Frost.

That outing came following a six-month rest, so she should be in peak condition now.

Her biggest threat could be Pearl Jam, a filly who made great late progress on debut. The pair make for a great boxed Exacta and Swinger bet.

Blow In The Box has finished second in three consecutive outings and can outrun a strong field in Race 7, a MR 71 Handicap over 1400m.

At three years old, he promises most scope for improvement and his only victory to date has been over 1400m.

As a result, he should relish the trip and could give Fayd’Herbe and Ramsden a hat trick of wins.
