TKO vows to hurt Tsetse-Fly

‘He mustn’t come to fight if he knows what’s good for him’

If Rofhiwa “Tsetse-Fly” Nemushungwa knows what is best for him, then he must not show up for their Gauteng bantamweight title fight at Emperors Palace on December 4, warns Joshua “TKO” Studdard.

Their 10-rounder will headline the “Christmas Cracker” bill – a box and dine affair – that will be presented by African Ring of veteran promoter Jeff Ellis.

“When I get into to the ring, it is not just to win but to win spectacularly. My aim is to destroy this guy,” Studdard said.

“He must better not show up because he is gonna get hurt,” said the charismatic boxer from Sophiatownwho attracts big crowds when he fights.

“If he really knows what is good for him, he must stay away from the fight. I’ve been fight-starved.”

Studdard, who is trained by unheralded mentor Warren Hulley, last fought in May when he stopped Ronnie Chiloane in the sixth round.

“I don’t know if it is my trainer or what. I am super ready. Rofhiwa has never been hit as hard as I dot.

“He must go ask all my opponents how it feels to be hit by me. It is like venom,” said Studdard who has seven short-route wins in eight victories against a loss.

Limpopo’s Nemushungwa is trained in Johannesburg by Alan Toweel Junior. He has eight wins in 14 fights.

Also featuring in the bill is Johnny “The Hurricane” Muller, who will take on Youssef Mwanza from Congo, while Chris Thompson returns to action against Josh Roos.

There will be three more bouts on the card.
