Bucs form defies logic, says Micho

But Pirates coach vows his men will gel soon

Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic feels that his team’s form defies logic as they are still chasing their first back-to-back wins of the season. Every time they pick up a win in the league, they follow it up with either a draw or a loss.

They failed to secure a second consecutive win in their goalless draw against SuperSport United on Tuesday night. After numerous squandered scoring opportunities a deflated Sredojevic said: “In football there is no logic. One plus one sometimes is not two.”

It was a missed opportunity to go top of the Premiership table.

While the Serbian tactician is yet to give up on his misfiring players, he feels they will be close to unstoppable once they get going. “I am convinced once we enter in automatism of picking up these points and certain technical issues and being much more versatile in finishing, [we will not] be [an] easily readable book,” the former Uganda national team mentor said.

His second stint so far at Pirates has been better than his first back in 2006. Much has changed in the PSL since 10 years ago and Sredojevic does not subscribe to the notion that football is of a substandard quality in the Premiership.

“The league is much more organised than it was [then]. All the teams are working very hard and are very competitive.

“All this about one win can take you up and one loss can take you down, [that it is] a product of lack of quality in the league – I do not think like this.

“I enjoy each and every moment I spend with the players. My family is very far from me.”
