Jeremy Brockie should finally be unveiled as a Mamelodi Sundowns player today or tomorrow after his club SuperSport United relented and agreed to sell him to their neighbours.

Brockie, who missed United’s match as they lost 1-0 to Golden Arrows yesterday, is understood to have agreed personal terms last night.

Alongside the New Zealand striker, Sundowns are also expected to unveil three more players: Katlego Otladisa, Siyabonga Zulu (both from Platinum Stars) and Gaston Sirino, a Uruguayan striker.

A source close to the club confirmed deals for the quartet had all been agreed as Pitso Mosimane beefs up his squad as he attempts to launch another assault on the CAF Champions League.

A challenge for Sundowns, however, is that Brockie and Sirino might only be restricted to Champions League football, not the domestic league, as the club already have five foreign players: Razak Brimah, Ricardo Nasciemento, Fares Hachi, Yannick Zakri and Bangaly Soumahoro, and cannot exceed the PSL quota.

Meanwhile, Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane insists he has no feelings of insecurity after the appointment of Erik Anders Hamren as the new technical director.

The 60-year-old will oversee development structures at the club. “Erik is head of technical. He is coming to help us on the senior team and the youth – but more on the youth,” Mosimane said.
